The Dallas Brass Band is committed toward nurturing the next generation of brass and percussion musicians of North Texas by fostering a passion for excellence and a lifelong appreciation for the brass band tradition. To this end, the Dallas Brass Band has created the Dallas Youth Brass Band to provide an unparalleled educational experience, mentorship from our accomplished musicians, and a supportive community where young artists can develop their skills, creativity, and musical leadership. Through our devotion to artistic growth and personal development, we aim to create a vibrant and inclusive environment that celebrates and enriches the cultural fabric of our region.​​

After a successful November weekend clinic and concert in fall 2025, the spring 2026 Dallas Youth Brass Band (DYBB) grows to 4-week intensive program contained within the months of February and March. This season includes a long Saturday rehearsal, three 3.5-hour Sunday rehearsals, a 2-hour Friday evening rehearsal, and culminates with not one but two performances at the Texas Brass Festival hosted at Carroll Senior High School:

• Rehearsal: Saturday, February 21, 2026 | 10:00am–4:00pm – Fowler Middle School

• Rehearsal: Sunday, February 22, 2026 | 12:00pm–3:30pm – Fowler Middle School

• Rehearsal: Sunday, March 1, 2026 | 12:00pm–3:30pm – Fowler Middle School

• Rehearsal: Sunday, March 8, 2026 | 12:00pm–3:30pm – Fowler Middle School

• Rehearsal: Friday, March 13, 2026 | 6:00pm–8:00pm – Carroll Senior High School

• Performances: Texas Brass Festival, Saturday, March 14, 2026 – Carroll Senior High School

Middle school and high school students of all levels and ages are encouraged to register. We intend to have separate dedicated ensembles for middle school and high school students.

Included in students' tuition are multiple masterclasses with DFW's leading professional musician-educators as well as a separate Mass Band clinic and concert experience for all youth band registrants under the baton of acclaimed brass band conductor, Michael Garasi, ensuring an exceptionally well-rounded educational experience for each student.​​​
