Jason Becht

Jason Becht is a freelance music educator based in Denton, Texas, with a focus on low brass and the marching arts. Over the years, he has had the privilege of studying with a number of esteemed teachers, including the renowned Dr. David Childs, whose mentorship has been instrumental in shaping his approach to both performance and pedagogy. Jason also brings a wealth of experience from his two years in drum corps, most recently earning a silver medal with the Bluecoats during their 2023 season.

In 2024, he was awarded first prize in the North Texas Low Brass Festival Spring Solo Competition, an experience that further fueled his passion for performance. Later that same year, Jason joined the Dallas Brass Band as a Second Baritone, where he has become an active and dedicated contributor to the ensemble's performances.
