Indigo Machado


Indigo Machado is a musician with roots in San Diego, California. He has over 15 years of experience as a percussionist and 9 years of experience as a music educator. In his former career as a music educator Indigo has worked in a wide variety of settings, including teaching early childhood music classes, K-8 general music, high school marching band, world-class drum corps, and as a private instructor for drum set and marching percussion.

As a performer, Indigo has marched with groups such as POW Percussion, Pulse Percussion and The Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps. He also played drumset with serveral local bands in San Diego from 2015 to 2020, where his primary project was the doom metal/shoegaze band Of Ennui.

Indigo graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in Philosophy in 2015, and in 2020 Indigo relocated to Texas to study music education at the University of North Texas. He now works as an IT professional, but his passion for music has continued and he remains active as a performer. Aside from music, he enjoys spending his free time dancing, skating, listening to tech podcasts, and sewing costumes.
